Salem Congregation Ministries
Salem Congregation was chartered to promote the spiritual and religious life of Moravian churches and their communities and to promote education, missions and other programs and purposes common to Moravian Churches within Salem Congregation. Thus, Salem Congregation supports local and worldwide ministries of the Moravian Church and other local benevolent ministries through specific gifts to the ministries.
Specific Moravian ministries for which Salem Congregation is directly responsible are:
SALEM MORAVIAN GRAVEYARD “GOD'S ACRE”
Maintains the graveyard used as the burial place for the congregation's members
BELO HOME
Through providing a low-cost living facility to persons of limited means
EASTER MORNING SUNRISE SERVICE
Provides an outdoor Easter morning service in Winston-Salem, NC with over 5,000 people in attendance
GREAT SABBATH SERVICE
Provides a special service of music on Saturday evening before Easter morning
WATCHNIGHT SERVICE
Provides a special service including a Lovefeast, music, and message on New Year's Eve
